On August 10th, on the occasion of the "Fridays of the Cuscionu", a day dedicated to the knowledge of the flora was animated by the National Botanical Conservatory of Corsica.

Several departments of the Office of the Environment of Corsica (OEC) have joined forces this summer to eradicate two invasive species (Dittrichia viscosa, native species of the island, and Paspalum distichum, exogenous species) in a temporary pool of Agriate: Chiuvina (municipality of Santu Pietru di Tenda).

On the 15th of June 2018, a scientific workshop was organized at the Agricultural Research Institute aiming to present the program and the results achieved in Cyprus. The workshop took place in the conference room of the Institute and more than 70 participants had the opportunity to be informed about the ex situ and in situ conservation actions dedicated to the conservation of threatened flora of the Mediterranean islands.

The project team met in Mallorca, Balearic Islands from 15 to 17 May 2018. This was the 5th project meeting and field trip, hosted by Sóller Botanic Garden, following those in Corsica, Cyprus, Sicily and Crete. One last such meeting and field trip will take place in Sardinia in September 2018. All the meetings are intended for the CARE-MEDIFLORA partners to share their experiences and knowledge on the in situ and ex situ conservation actions for threatened plants taking place on each of the six project islands.
