Successful reintroduction of Limonium mucronulatum within Alyki Salt Lake, Cyprus, where population destroyed due to public works
Limonium mucronulatum is an erect perennial, glaucous herb, flowering from June to August and fruiting from July to September. It is endemic to Cyprus and occurs on the margins of Larnaca Salt Lake, in openings of halophytic scrub, near the sea level.

Communication and awareness campaign on a highly urbanized site of Silene velutina Loisel. in Corsica
Silene velutina is an endemic species of Corsica and Sardinia whose populations are threatened by urbanization and human activities. Thus, this taxon is in strong regression on the sector of Casetta Bianca (commune of Porto-Vecchio).

CARE-MEDIFLORA information day at Anogeia, Crete, 30 November 2018
The CARE-MEDIFLORA team in Crete held an environmental information day about the CARE-MEDIFLORA actions in Crete with a particular focus on the conservation actions for Horstrissea dolinicola in the locality Petradolakia, Municipality of Anogeia, Psiloritis mountain, in view of the preparations under way for the creation of a Plant Micro-Reserve in the area.

CARE-MEDIFLORA actions presented at the Balearic Islands
The “VII Environment Congress of the Balearic Island”, organized by the Society of Natural History of the Balearic Islands, took place at the University of the Balearic Islands, 28-30 November 2018. The CARE-MEDIFLORA team in the Balearic Islands participated with a talk entitled “In situ conservation activities on threatened plant species in Balearic Islands: the CARE-MEDIFLORA project”.
