Planning of conservation actions for Peganum harmala in Cyprus

On 25 November 2016 the CARE-MEDIFLORA team in Cyprus held a meeting with the Municipality of Nicosia, the Department of Environment (Governmental organization - Competent authority of Cyprus for CBD and NATURA 2000 network) and the Department of Antiquities (Governmental organization) for planning the in situ conservation actions for Peganum harmala around the medieval walls of Nicosia.

Presentation of CARE-MEDIFLORA project in Cagliari

The CARE-MEDIFLORA project was presented during the Meeting on the Italian Botanical and Historical Gardens which took place in Cagliari on 14 November 2016. The Meeting was a part of the celebrations for the 150th anniversary of the Hortus Botanicus Karalitanus foundation.

1st Mediterranean Plant Conservation Week, Ulcinj, Montenegro, 24-29 October 2016

The CARE-MEDIFLORA team will participate in the 1st Mediterranean Plant Conservation Week with the theme "Building a regional network to conserve plants and cultural diversity". The team will share with all the congress participants in situ and ex situ techniques that can be used for plant conservation. The congress represents a fantastic networking and learning opportunity for all stakeholders involved in plant conservation in the Mediterranean.
